Casta Del Sol, is a gated community established in 1972 designed specifically for active 55 plus residents.  A charming little community that consists of 1,927 single family two and three bedroom homes with one or two car attached garages.

Casta Del Sol has Board of Directors that meets once a month for a town hall meeting.  Our finances are well maintained and kept well within bounds.  Our association fees include maintenance of our greenbelt areas, security patrol and gate guards, exterior painting of our homes approximately ever 6 years, trash pickup and management company salaries. 

We have a monthly publication called the Casta Courier that keeps us up to date on all happenings.

Most of the residences in Casta Del Sol are single family, two or three bedroom, one story unattached residences with one or two car garages.  Prices range from the mid $400,000 or less depending on locations, age, condition and model.

There are some residences that are attached by the garages and some that have two stories with an extra "Loft" or third bedroom and bathroom upstairs.

Casta Del Sol is 25-40 minutes from John Wayne National Airport; 25-40 minutes from Irvine AMTRAK Station and Financial District and but 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean.  Interstate 5 and 405 are 5-10 minutes close with toll corridors equally accessible.

Casta has two recreation centers with pools, a gym, tennis courts, chipping green, nature walks, professional shuffle board building, meeting halls, five table pool hall and a 18 hole golf course just outside our gates.  There are over 30 different clubs and activities are provided for all wants.  Travel clubs, political clubs, square dancing, choirs, bridge clubs and much more.

Casta Del Sol is located in the mildest climate zone in the United States.  We enjoy nearly 300 days of sunshine each year with less than 15 inches of rain annually and average temperatures for the region ranging from a low of 48 degrees to a high of 76.  The daytime temperature rarely dips below 60 degrees, even during the winter and summertime temperatures very seldom exceed 85 degrees.

Casta is located in the beautiful city of Mission Viejo and is within walking distance of Mission Viejo Lake.  all homeowners living in Mission Viejo automatically obtain lake privileges.  Boating and fishing is available without license.  The lake is stocked with Trout, Catfish, and 2 other species.
